Original artwork all done in gouache on paper (NFS).
This is an illustration series that I did inspired by the 12 signs of the zodiac. I chose to try a new style for this, based on one I was experimenting with for a design client. It was so exciting and satisfying to paint with a loose hand and finish each piece so quickly. I waited until I finished each piece to move on to even the idea for the next, which kept my momentum for enthusiastic composition and color. The imagery is meant to be an overlap of esoteric and playful, my own interpretation of the signs.
