Jessica collaborated with Spoonflower to design this original pattern for her guest bathroom then produce a viral reel on Instagram and TikTok promoting their brand.
By recording her process of creating and installing the wallpaper, Jessica’s video received over 450,000 views and 36,000 likes on Instagram.
The original artwork was painted in gouache on arches watercolor paper then digitally formatted as a repeating pattern for wallpaper printing.
Jessica designed the pattern specifically for her guest bathroom, considering lighting and intended overall mood.
The intention of the design is to evoke a sense of simultaneous beauty and danger, Jessica’s perspective of life on this planet - both in nature and as a human being. Highlighting the ethereally haunting aesthetic that this outlook can produce.
