Jessica Violetta Day of the Dead

Inspired by the Mexican tradition of “Dia de los Muertos”, this piece is celebrating death and what that means for life. What is life without an end point and what can we learn from our ancestors? Rather than fearing the end, let us remember the lives of those before us and make the most of the time we have.

I am so moved by the way that Mexican culture embraces one of the most inevitable aspects of human existence. It is beautiful to know that your life will be honored once you are gone.
